LAT Covers Julia Chasman's Pasadena Showcase House Library with Blue Parakeet Rugs

Los Angeles Times takes readers on a photo tour inside the Pasadena Showcase House of Design 2025, and into Julia Chasman’s Library featuring a gorgeous rug from Blue Parakeet Rugs. Julia has been a great resource and collaborator for Blue Parakeet Rugs, and she and Sheba often mix it up at interior design events all over LA. So while this is her first time designing at the Pasadena Showcase, we knew her room would be a highlight of this year’s event.

Julia tells LAT, “It was so much fun to work on such a simple small room and put so much of myself into it,” and the end result is a book lover’s dream. As the organizers put it, “Stepping inside the reimagined Library by Julia Chasman Design felt like being transported into a richly layered, enchanting world where every detail tells a story.” That’s also why people fall in love with antique rugs—there’s no substitute for beautiful old things filled with tales and travels, and we’re thrilled Julia chose to make Blue Parakeet Rugs part of this story!
