On Sale! This is a Tabriz antique rug, hand knotted from one of the oldest weaving centers in Northwest Iran. Tabriz rugs are one of the most distinguished, due to their exceptional weave and loyalty to traditional Persian rug design. Tabriz is reputed to hold the highest standards of expert craftsmanship and has amazing quality of rugs and carpets. Let it be known, we can call them the weave masters! 

And so we have here a really timeworn Tabriz that is oh-so-true and classical. It has a grand center medallion, surrounded by eight birds, four paisleys and a garden of flowers atop a dark blue field. The curling floral array is throughout the rug and it has red and ivory borders. Fringes have recently been replaced but the face of the rug is in original form.  

Colors include dark red, indigo blue, ivory, tan, forest green, brown, and aqua blue. 

Low pile and very worn.
