Emily Henderson's Clutter Zone Transformed with Blue Parakeet Rugs

Emily Henderson solved another impossible problem in her latest post, My “Kitchen Kid Clutter Drop Zone” Problem, SOLVED (ish). What does a design guru do with the kids’s clutter do when the entryway is far from the mudroom? Emily answers by reimagining a kitchen corner into a neat, gorgeous, and intentional space that turns entryway clutter into decor and ties it all together with a stunning little runner from Blue Parakeet Rugs.

Commenting on the showcase rug, Emily says, “The new to me vintage rug actually goes in the hallway but I wanted to show it off because it’s so beautiful (thank you Sheba from Blue Parakeet!).” She also mentioned it in her Instagram stories about the project, saying “Shout out for this rug […] from Blue Parakeet. Go follow her because she has the most gorgeous rugs. I feel like she’s a rug educator. Every time I go on her stories, I learn something about vintage antique rugs.”

There’s truly no better compliment we could receive! Speaking of rug education, the blue woven antique Persian Baluch runner in this post is actually quite rare as most nomadic and tribal rugs are small and feature different color ways. Finding this one was a real treat, and of course Emily’s eagle eye gravitated to it immediately after it hit the shop. We are thrilled it found a new home in her storied Portland House, and we know it will spark joy for years to come.
